Project Worthmore
Project Worthmore provides programs that foster community, self-sufficiency and increase quality of life among Denver-area refugees. McKinstry in Colorado has supported the mission of Project Worthmore by sponsoring and building “welcome care kits” for refugees filled with essential household items, participating in its English language learning program, and packaging culturally relevant food for families through its Yu Meh food share program.
“Building Good’s work with Project Worthmore has been so rewarding. Working with an existing organization that serves the most marginalized and neglected communities has made volunteer work feel extra impactful. Packing food and helping with the English language program directly in the community served is some of the most tangibly impactful volunteer work I’ve done. A company that takes the time and resources to prioritize this sort of volunteer work is the number one reason I love McKinstry.” —David Zilis, Lead Building Energy Engineer
Impact: McKinstry packaged over 3,000 lbs. of fresh food and supported more than 30 families with welcome kits
