McKinstry Scores Major Wins from RENEW Wisconsin
McKinstry received three Clean Energy Honor Roll awards from RENEW Wisconsin, which recognized important solar work performed across three separate school districts by McKinstry’s Midwest Energy and Technical Services teams. 2025 marks the third year in a row that McKinstry’s work has been recognized by RENEW Wisconsin.
Hosted by RENEW Wisconsin, a non-profit organization focused on improving the state through renewable energy methodologies, the annual awards ceremony honors “individuals and businesses who have made significant and lasting advances in clean energy development in Wisconsin. McKinstry was awarded for notable solar work performed across five separate schools in three districts across the state:
- Green Bay Area Public School District – approximately 590,000 pounds of CO2 emissions reduction and $29,400 annual energy savings.
- Granite Ridge Elementary School in Monona Grove School District – approximately 662,000 pounds of CO2 emissions reduction and $37,000 annual energy savings.
- Madison Metropolitan School District – approximately 500,000 pounds of CO2 emissions reduction and $40,000 annual energy savings.
Team members selected the specific projects due to their belief that the districts represented are leaders demonstrating a pathway towards a 100% clean energy future. With the growing interest in the region to decarbonize operations and invest in renewable energy solutions, the increase in solar installations has aided many in meeting their new goals and increase energy savings.
“At McKinstry, our vision motivates us to recognize the accomplishments of our clients,” said Eric Rehm, Project Director for the E&TS National Platform team. “I think every project we deliver creates a story for peers to learn about us, what we can do and why we can help them.”
McKinstry has previously won single awards from RENEW Wisconsin in 2022 and 2023 for separate projects provided at the University of Wisconsin. The ongoing recognition and awards from industry peers and leaders highlights the continued hard work provided by the Midwest Energy and Technical Services teams for both our university and K-12 clients in the Midwest region and Wisconsin areas.
