Building Good in Our Communities

The VA Puget Sound Health Care System plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of the veteran community. The challenges brought by COVID-19 drastically reduced the volunteer presence at the VA and stalled ‘non-essential’ projects, creating a daunting revival process after the abrupt halt in 2020. The McKinstry Veterans Alliance is the first volunteer crew to return to the VA. This year, McKinstry veterans and Building Good team members helped revitalize and maintain the VA grounds, creating a more welcoming space for the veterans and their families.

Across the United States, the Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides underserved children and families with a brighter holiday season. As it does every year, the McKinstry South team in Little Rock, Arkansas committed to sponsor two children affiliated with the Salvation Army of Central Arkansas fulfilling every need on the children’s wish lists and more.
