Construction Begins on Spokane’s First Zero Energy Building

SPOKANE, Wash. (Aug. 6, 2018) – Spokane will soon be home to its first zero energy building. Construction is set to begin on the Catalyst Building, a 150,000 square-foot innovation hub that will serve as the south landing for pedestrians using the University District Gateway Bridge. Join us August 8 in Spokane’s University District as Avista Development, McKinstry, Katerra and Eastern Washington University and other partners break ground on what will become the smartest five blocks in the world.

Catalyst Building construction officially begins in late August. The building is expected to open in April 2020. All are invited to attend and take part in this groundbreaking event.
